Brother Matt was born July 28, 1971 in
Dothan, Alabama and was raised in Jackson County, Florida. He
was saved and baptized at First Baptist Church, Graceville,
Florida on July 29, 1980. He grew up as a minister’s kid and
has been active in church his entire life. He graduated from
Troy State University, Dothan with a B.S. in Business
Administration. Soon thereafter he felt the call of God on his
life to the ministry. He enrolled at New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity while
serving churches in Florida and Arkansas. In August 2006 he was
called to be the Senior Pastor of Hartford Baptist Church.
Brother Matt is a dynamic preacher
who focuses on living out the faith in Christ that brings
forgiveness and grace
He also enjoys spending time with his wife
Jennifer, his four children Grey, Landry, Brodie and Briar. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and piloting
small airplanes.
